Well, it's the size of a vanity pet anyway. And I kinda hope he stays small, tho this may be a new Alliance version of the Horde Venomhide Raptor quests. I dunno. All I know is that I was slaughtering Jungle Fighters in Kurzen's Compound last night when suddenly I had this itty bitty baby raptor following me. Found a shard fragment in my bags. Little pointer quest to the Rebel Camp, where I learned he not only was bonded to me, he was hungry. Fed him some basilisks. Didn't think much about him till I was fighting two mobs at once. No buffs on me to cause damage to anything else (boo on 20 second thorns!). Finished one mob, the other was half dead. Hey? Checked the combat log.

THE PET WAS ATTACKING THE MOBS! Causing not bad damage for the area/level either (100-200 per hit on a level 25 mob).

I love him! He must stay in game. Baby killer raptor....all mine!!! smile

I saw this thing on the Wowhead blog yesterday.

For a few minutes it brought me unimaginable terror until I was told it was a vanity pet. Kudos if you can catch the reference.

Me so sad. sad sad

We were bopping around North Stranglethorn, and suddenly my baby raptor picked up a skull from a troll skull pile. And wouldn't put it down. So I asked this wacky gnome about it, and he had me do a few quests, used some troll magic and....

POW.

Bloodlord Mandokir was in front of me. Sword drawn. Demanding MY baby raptor, or he would kill everyone.

Wah.

Turns out my baby raptor was a hatchling descendant of Mando's raptor. My baby! HE STOLE IT!!!!

I had an hour or so's worth of hope after that. Found a priestess at one of the new quest hubs who told me my baby still loved me and wanted to come home, ended up with a quest to use mind control on the baby and try to help him escape ZG. Took me a buttload of time, but I got to the entrance and....

Jin'do the Hexxar (or at least his Shade) was waiting for me. Took my baby away from me. AGAIN!!

Wah.

If this goes live, and I am lucky enough to get my baby raptor shard, I am NOT TAKING IT OUT OF MY POCKET TILL I LEAVE STRANGLETHORN. That mean Mandokir sad sad sad

It has a vaguely Evil Dead 2 vibe to it.
